That is a pretty good idea - and my wife is really interested in putting some type of cardio machine in the bedroom (hmmm). Are you going to connect the laptop to the HD TV as well? That could seal the deal for me

curing treadmill boredom... a problem i'm working on as a new business. one i didn't happen to discuss with you in Vegas. if i get it launched (unlikely, it's a very busy year!), i'll chat it up with you. it's in its infancy, for now, and florida doesn't help me... too easy to go outside and enjoy. :-) my solution may not please your inner geek though, rss feed, it ain't... people that gectored out (including us both), are too small a market for this venture. and hey, stop reading my thoughts (a byproduct of your new machine, no doubt, 'rss reading' my foot, linking machine and body and mind... yep, i can guess what you're really up to Scott).

Steelcase Walkstation is something similar, but it's more of a exercise-while-you're-working solution (focusing on work, with slower paced exercise) than a work-while-you're-exercising one (focusing on exercise, with slower paced "work").

I remember reading about that. Maybe that's been in the back of my mind ever since. You're right about the difference in priority here. It just so happens that I have a good hour+ of reading-type work to do each day.

Hmm. I would definitely hook up the mac to the hdtv. I don't really know how the apple remotes work but if there was a way to get those to scroll, I think that would be ideal.
