- No trackback in that other post. oh well.
- Janguru! Where are you taking me with that check?
- Man... talk about getting your hopes up... see something that looks like a check come in the mail and BAM... nada. Networks shouldn't be meanies like that :)
- After wading thru hundreds of make money blogs showing off their super affiliate checks, your post is a nice deviation from the cookie cutter posts I see so often in this area of media.
- Beautiful post, You are a great affiliate - or better supper affiliate- you seem a brave person to show a zero value check publicly.

I have to wonder if "Marky Zarc" was subconsciously hoping he would get caught?
After all, why else would he be so careless with his identity. Besides the bread crumbs he left behind, he used his real initials to create his assumed name! -
I think you're giving him too much credit.
I think once he realized we figured out he was doing this on company time and bandwidth, he folded up the tent.
Will he be attending the next Affiliate Summit, Shawn? -
He hasn't registered, yet, and I don't believe he's ever attended, despite his opinions about the show.
His behavior reminds me of a quote from author Ellen Glasgow: "He knows so little and knows it so fluently." -
Well, you know that learning experts say humor and the appreciation of humor is directly correlated with IQ, right?
One of the best ways to assess someone you've just met is to tell a joke and see if they "get it".
Trekkie jokes don't count... -
So at ASE08 there won't be an award for M.Z.?
I did enjoy the shirts of Brian he displayed....Too bad his satire wasn't done in a more professional manor or with the right reasons behind it, because it could have been a great blog to follow... -
Completely agree! Would have been great if it were a good piece of satire.
-
No doubt - you can make fun without being mean spirited.
But I suppose, based on some of his comments on ReveNews last year, he has a short fuse. -
I wonder if he needed to change his pans after reading this post? lol.... If I was him, I would call you today tell you not to write anymore follow ups.
You know, I am actually surprised that things point to an affiliate manager. This goes just beyond stupid, the man needs some serious help. -
interesting post. Its funny how some folks try to put down others for their own personal gain (publicity?)
-
Let me just apologize for taking that picture with all of those Playboy Bunnies and thus shaming the entire affiliate industry. If it helps, that was actually a work related activity as I was exploring the possibility of my company becoming a distributor of those wearable bunny ears.

for shame, for shame.

I have no idea who he is but after reading this I realised that he is a nobody..that's just me but perhaps he is somebody that I don't really care to know..
-
Nice pictures, nice coverage of the event too.

Its sad to see the lengths that people will go to voice out their dissatisfaction. Some people are just full of hate.

How to kill your future in affiliate marketing - an ode to idiocy - by Jonathan Miller
Affiliate Managers are an breed apart
and some can get quite rather obsessed one anothers art.
Self promotion is the order of the day,
that's why we attract attention this way.
Not for pure self love
though I'm told it does come in to play,
but rather to deliver ROI for those in who's employ we stay.
So what happens when wannebee's attack?
Why, the biggest of the bunch will surely give them a slap ;-)
Ostracised forever, their programs will die
and no affiliates will even give them a try.
Their bottomline evaporates, along with thier jobs
oh, my they're out on the streets, poor slobs
So what's the lesson to be learned here my friends?
Be nice to others - you never know how it ends.
ok - i'm no poet - but it's not too bad for a 1 minute effort ;-)
Guys, don't take this idiot too seriousely - as they say - there's no such thing as Bad PR ;-) -
Anyhow, it’s funny how some folks feel empowered when they think they are anonymous.

Professional criticism is fine - We all learn to deal with it. It's how we grow. Crossing the line is just not acceptable. I hope this whole thing works out - for you.
